We have a vacancy for an apprentice engineer at arc I.T.

Trainee IT apprentice required to train as IT support technician in growing company. Training includes PC and server build, installation and repair. Networking, TCP, IP, LAN, WAN, hubs/switches networking technologies. You will be expected to achieve MCSE

The role will provide experience and onsite training for the appropriate candidate.

You must be a self starter, able to work on own initiative, and have a willingness to learn to ensure yourself a future career in the IT industry.You should have the ability to think both logically and laterally and possess above average problem solving skills as these are essential for resolving IT issues. We are looking for someone with a good character, a confident and professional manner with excellent communication skills as you will be expected to deal with businesses and end users.

Technical training will include:

PC and server build, installation and repair.

Networking, TCP, IP, LAN, WAN, hubs/switches networking technologies

Prioritising and answering support queries by email

All Microsoft PC and server operating systems

Business training, customer services skills

Taking telephone calls from Business client’s, end users and logging calls

Using your own skills to assist in diagnosing and resolving PC faults by telephone & remote control

Team player and passionate about the quality of service

Also the skills below would be an advantage

Apple MAC experience

Linux
