A long-awaited return…

Friday, July 9th, 2010

We’ve had a busy couple of months expanding the business and sorting out new partnerships left, right and centre.

Hence the lack of posts recently. Sorry. Consider us told off and looking all sheepish in the corner.

Things have calmed down a bit now though so we will be getting the blog up and running again, and helping you out with your Blackberry technical issues.

Here are our top five problems (and how to solve them):

  1. Screen is frozen
  2. Not sending and/or receiving email messages
  3. Can’t connect to existing Enterprise Server account
  4. Messages and call logs disappearing
  5. Trackball problems

As for those collaborations we mentioned, we have teamed up with Digitel Solutions to help anyone with iPhone issues and Jackson Group Chartered Accountants to relieve your stresses with Sage.

Make sure you tune in over the next few weeks as we go through the biggest problems with both.

Trackball issues?

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010

Lots of people are approaching us with problems with their Blackberry’s trackball –the handset’s main navigation system.

Of all the problems we are asked about here at ARC IT Solutions, this is probably one of the most common.

So what can you do if you’re having trackball issues?  It’s not good news I’m afraid – there’s not much you can do at all.

It’s probably terminal, so you’ll have to contact your airtime provider for assistance. You basically need a new unit, so you should be able to replace it under your insurance policy.

It may not be completely unsalvageable, and your provider may decide to send  it to a Blackberry repair specialist.

In any case, you should probably check that your insurance policy is current, because otherwise a trackball problem could become an expensive ordeal.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
